Jabulani Dhlamini included on group exhibition at Rencontres de Bamako - Biennial of Photography

‘Five Photographers: A tribute to David Goldblatt’, a travelling exhibition which includes work by Jabulani Dhlamini, is part of the programme for the 12th edition of the Rencontres de Bamako – Biennial of Photography in Mali. Initiated in 1994, the Rencontres de Bamako is recognised today as one of the premiere photographic festivals on the continent and is curated this year by Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung, the founder of Berlin’s SAVVY Contemporary. Ndikung has centred this edition around the theme ‘Currents of Conscience’, which he describes as an invitation to imagine a new “stream of photographic consciousness" in order to "reveal worlds of thought and circumstance, the historical and geographical dimensions that gave rise to photography”.
